May 28 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Montenegro in the first quarter of 2019 fell by an annual 54.3% to 42 and by 8.7% quarter-on-quarter, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
Based on the building permits issued in the January-March period, the number of planned dwellings grew by 52.5% on the year to 523. On a quarterly basis, it increased by 33.1%, the statistical office said in a statement.
The total floor area of planned dwellings increased to 29,152 sq m, up 25.5% year-on-year.
In 2018, the number of building permits issued in Montenegro declined to 295 from 1,050 in the previous year.
