November 24 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's Bosniak Party (BS) and the Social Democrats of Montenegro (SD) said on Thursday they decided to form a government coalition with the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) of long-standing prime minister Milo Djukanovic.
After constructive discussions and taking into account all the arguments, the proposal to set up a coalition government with DPS was accepted in a 63-14 vote by the party's executive committee, BS said in a statement.
The committee also agreed to propose the party's chairman, Rafet Husovic, as deputy prime minister in the future coalition cabinet, BS added.
In a separate statement issued on Thursday, SD announced that it decided to sign a coalition agreement with DPS to form a government coalition.
DPS won 41.41% of the vote in the general election in October, securing 36 of the 81 seats in parliament. BS and SD have two seats each.
DPS said after the elections that it will nominate its deputy chairman Dusko Markovic for prime minister if it secures majority in parliament.
