PODGORICA (Montenegro), May 6 (SeeNews) – The operations of Montenegro’s Atlas Banka will not be affected by the revocation of the licence of its Moscow-based unit, Montenegro’s central bank said on Tuesday.
Moscow-registered Atlas Bank operates as an independent entity under the jurisdiction of the Russian supervisory and regulatory authorities, Montenegro's central bank said in a statement.
Russia's central bank revoked the licence of Atlas Banka’s Russian unit over suspicious transactions related to the transfer of some $251 million (181 million euro) abroad, Russian news agency Itar-Tass reported on Monday.
