June 12 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's consumer price index (CPI) rose by 3.1% year-on-year in May, after growing by 2.9% in April, the national statistical office said on Tuesday.
Consumer prices rose by 0.3% on the month in May after increasing by 0.1% in April, the statistical office said in a statement last week.
The biggest monthly rise in prices in May, of 2.6%, was recorded in the segment of hotels and restaurants, followed by transport, of 1.4%.
On the other hand, the costs of clothing and footwear declined by 0.2% month-on-month in May.
In 2017, Montenegro's CPI rose by 2.4% after falling by 0.2% in 2016.
