November 14 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's consumer price index (CPI) rose by 1.9% year-on-year in October, after rising by the same rate of increase in September, the national statistical office said.
Consumer prices went down by 0.2% on the month in October after increasing by 0.1% a month earlier, the statistical office said in a statement on Tuesday.
The biggest monthly rise in prices in October, of 1.2%, was recorded in the segment of transport, followed by footwear and clothing, of 1.1%.
On the other hand, the costs of hotels and restaurants fell by 4.8%, and of food and non-alcoholic beverages declined by 0.4% month-on-month in October.
In 2017, Montenegro's CPI rose by 2.4% after falling by 0.2% in 2016.
