April 14 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's consumer price index (CPI) grew by 9.7% year-on-year in March, after rising by 6.7% in February, the national statistical office said on Thursday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Montenegro's consumer prices went up by 3.4% in March, after increasing by 1.5% February, the statistical office said in a statement.
The monthly inflation rate was backed by the increase in prices of transport (up 8.0%), food and non-alcoholic beverages (up 5.0%) and clothing and footwear (up 3.1%).
On the other hand, the prices in hotels and restaurants edged down 0.5% on the month in March.
