June 14 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's consumer price index (CPI) grew by 0.7% year-on-year in May, after rising by 0.9% in April, the national statistical office said on Friday.
Consumer prices went up by 0.2% on the month in May after increasing by 0.1% a month earlier, the statistical office said in a statement.
The biggest monthly rise in prices in May, of 1.5%, was recorded in the segment of hotels and restaurants, followed by food and non-alcoholic beverages, of 0.4%.
On the other hand, the costs of clothing and footwear declined by 0.9% month-on-month in May.
In 2018, Montenegro's CPI grew by 2.6% after rising by 2.4% in 2017.
