March 16 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's consumer price index (CPI) grew by 0.9% year-on-year in February, after rising by 1.5% in January, the national statistical office said on Monday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Montenegro's consumer prices went down by 0.1% in February, after increasing by 0.1% January, the statistical office said in a statement.
The biggest impact on the negative monthly inflation rate came from the decline in prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (down 0.7%), transport (down 1.8%) and furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (down 0.8%).
On the other hand, the biggest monthly rise in prices in February was recorded in the segment of alcoholic beverages and tobacco, up by 1.6%.
