February 26 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's consumer price index (CPI) grew by 1.5% year-on-year in January, after rising by 1.0% in December, the national statistical office said.
On a monthly comparison basis, Montenegro's consumer prices went up by 0.1% in January, after decreasing by 0.1% December, the statistical office said in a statement on Thursday.
The biggest impact on the positive monthly inflation rate came from the rise in prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages (up 0.2%), transport (up 3.8%) and clothing and footwear (up 1.1%).
On the other hand, the biggest monthly decline in prices in December was recorded in the segment of communication, down by 1.1%.
