May 15 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's consumer price index (CPI) grew by 0.9% year-on-year in April, after rising by 0.8% in March, the national statistical office said on Wednesday.
Consumer prices went up by 0.1% on the month in April after increasing by 0.6% a month earlier, the statistical office said in a statement.
The biggest monthly rise in prices in April, of 1.1%, was recorded in the segment of transport, followed by food and non-alcoholic beverages, of 0.5%.
On the other hand, the costs of clothing and footwear declined by 1.5% month-on-month in April.
In 2018, Montenegro's CPI grew by 2.6% after rising by 2.4% in 2017.
