PODGORICA (Montenegro), May 17 (SeeNews) – Montenegro’s airports serviced a combined 202,783 passengers in the first quarter of 2017, an increase of 13.5% on the year, data from the country's statistical office showed on Wednesday.
The total passenger traffic of the country's two international airports, in Podgorica and Tivat, stood at 201,149 in the first quarter of 2017, versus 261,398 in October-December 2016, the statistical office said.
Podgorica airport serviced 152,116 passengers in the first quarter of 2017, versus 178,456 in the fourth quarter of 2016.
Tivat airport, in turn, handled 49,033 passengers in the first three months of the year, down from 82,942 in October-December 2016.
The total cargo traffic processed at the two airports edged up 0.5% on the year to 187 tonnes in the first quarter of 2017.
