January 13 (SeeNews) - Montenegro will launch in the summer a gondola lift connecting the coastal town of Kotor to the Lovcen national park, Kotor municipality mayor Vladimir Jokic said on Friday.
Following the launch, travel between Kotor and Lovcen will take just eleven minutes, Jokic said, as seen in a video file posted on the website of state broadcaster RTCG.
The contractor has completed most of the work, the pillars have been installed, and they are currently working on the access paths, added Jokic.
Montenegro's government signed an agreement worth 20 million euro ($21.7 million) for the construction of the Kotor-Lovcen gondola with local company Novi Volvox and Italy's Leitner in December 2021.
