June 2 (SeeNews) - Montenegro plans to partially reopen the Podgorica and Tivat international airports for commercial traffic on June 2, state-owned airport operator Aerodromi Crne Gore said.
The airports are open for citizens of countries with a maximum of 25 active coronavirus cases per 100,000 inhabitants as of June 2, Aerodromi Crne Gore said in a statement on Monday.
The list of countries which meet these requirements includes Slovenia, Croatia, Slovakia, Georgia, Switzerland, Albania, Austria, Norway, Monaco, Kosovo, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Israel, the Czech Republic, Finland and Estonia, Aerodromi Crne Gore said.
Montenegro reopened the Podgorica and Tivat international airports for general aviation flights on May 20.
Montenegro closed its borders for foreigners and international transport in March to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The government started relaxing the measures in May, allowing beaches, cafes and restaurants to reopen.
