- Once power monopoly EPCG completes its capital increase and a new management is appointed, it will form a consortium with a yet-to-be-picked strategic partner for the construction of the Moraca hydro power plant, the head of EPCG’s managing board, Srdjan Kovacevic, said.
- The talks between Montenegro’s Bijela shipyard, the Porto Montenegro company of Canadian billionaire Peter Mank and a group of French partners, representing some of the most influential international yacht firms, should result in the launch by mid-October of a new yacht repair company, the head of Bijela’s board of directors, Stanko Zlokovic, said.
- Montenegro’s Adriatic airport of Tivat recorded on August 15 a record daily traffic of 46 flights, the director of the airport operator, Ranko Boskovic, said. He added that the airport processed 112,081 passengers in July, 4.4% higher on the year, while total passenger numbers in the first seven months dropped by an annual 7.0%.

- More than a third of the members of Podgorica’s city parliament on Friday filed an official request to launch a procedure seeking a vote of confidence in Mayor Miomir Mugosa through a referendum after he and his son assaulted a newspaper reporter and a photographer two weeks ago.
- Montenegro’s power utility EPCG posted a profit of 37.5 million euro through June, unchanged from a year ago, as costs fell sharply, the company’s executive director, Ranko Vojinovic, said.
- A rise of the share indices, two-digit gains in most stocks and low turnover marked trading on Montenegro’s two bourses, Montenegro Stock Exchange and NEX Montenegro, last week.
