PODGORICA (Montenegro), April 10 (SeeNews) – The number of mobile phone subscribers in Montenegro rose to 1,003,890 at the end of February, up 2.46% year-on-year, according to data from the national telecommunications regulator, EKIP.
Mobile penetration rate in Montenegro fell to 161.91% in February, down from 163.64% at the end of January, when the number of subscribers was 1,014,614, figures posted on the EKIP website show.
Montenegro, with a population of around 620,000, has three companies active in the mobile segment - Telenor, Crnogorski Telekom and M:tel.
Telenor had a 36.17% share of the overall number of subscribers at the end of January, followed by Crnogorski Telekom with 35.01% and M:tel with 28.82%.
The share of postpaid subscribers was 46.67% at the end of February.
