August 7 (SeeNews) - Montenegro Airlines handled 348,659 passengers in the first seven months of 2018, up 10.7% year-on-year, the flag carrier said.
In July alone, Montenegro Airlines carried the most passengers in a single month in its history, which spans over two decades. It transported 98,297 passengers last month, up 15% on the year, with six operational planes, the airline said in a statement on Monday.
The most profitable destinations for the company in July were Belgrade and Ljubljana with a load factor of 88%, followed by Copenhagen with 85%, Moscow with 84% and London with 83%.
"The achieved results confirm that the measures undertaken by the government of Montenegro and the company's management in terms of the financial and organisational restructuring of the company are being implemented in the right way and in accordance with the goals set for 2018," the CEO of Montenegro Airlines, Zivko Banjevic, said in the statement.
Montenegro Airlines flies to 27 destinations in 15 countries in Summer 2018. The company plans to carry around 620,000 passengers during 2018.
