MA transported a total of 264,562 passengers from and to Serbia in 2016, or 2.0% more than in 2015.
Moscow and Paris remained the top destinations for the air carrier. Passengers on scheduled flights to Moscow increased by 3.5% to 80,952, while the number of passengers transported to and from Paris remained unchanged at 37,665.
In February, the Montenegrin government said it has not put MA on the list of state companies slated for privatisation in 2017 as no strategic investor has shown interest in acquiring the air carrier.
In 2015, the passenger number of MA rose 4% to 580,000.
