July 6 (SeeNews) - Flag carrier Montenegro Airlines is in talks for the launch of charter flights to Tel Aviv in August, Montenegrin media reported.
"We have a serious interest and we will realise it, we hope, from August 1. That would be important for us, it is a long line that affects our operability," CEO Vlastimir Ristic told public broadcaster Radio Crne Gore on Friday.
Montenegro Airlines started charter flights to Italy's Bari and Naples over the weekend and also intends to introduce charter flights to Rome in the second half of July, Ristic said.
Montenegro Airlines suspended all of its flights on March 16, shortly after the government closed the country's borders for foreign nationals to prevent the spread of the disease on its territory. The company resumed operations on June 12 with a flight linking Podgorica to Slovenia's capital Ljubljana.
