September 6 (SeeNews) - Montenegro Airlines handled 466,500 passengers in the first eight months of 2019, which is 11,382 more than in the like period a year earlier, the flag carrier said.
In August alone, Montenegro Airlines handled 105,101 passengers, up 4.26% on the year, according to a statement posted on the website of Montenegro Airlines on Thursday.
The company holds a 25% share of Montenegrin air traffic in the summer season and 30% during the winter.
During the summer season, Montenegro Airlines flies to 30 scheduled and charter destinations, in 15 countries.
Montenegro Airlines narrowed its loss to 1.97 million euro ($2.2 million) in 2018, as the number of its passengers rose to a record-high 645,000, the flag carrier's executive director Zivko Banjevic said in April.
