September 30 (SeeNews) - Montenegro’s Crnogorska Komercijalna Banka (CKB) [MNG:CKBP], a unit of Hungarian financial services group OTP, has named Tamas Kamarasi CEO, it said on Thursday.
Kamarasi will take office on October 1, succeeding Pal Kovac, who has been working on the position since 2017, CKB said in a statement.
Since 2019, Kamarasi has been the executive director of the Corporate Group Management and Operations Division of OTP, the Montenegrin lender said.
Kamarasi is well aware of the opportunities and specifics of the Montenegrin market, thanks to the time he spent as chairman of Podgoricka Banka, and later as a board member of CKB, the bank noted.
In July 2019, CKB completed the acquisition of a 90.55% stake in Societe Generale Banka Montenegro for 35.6 million euro ($41.3 million) and renamed the lender to Podgoricka Banka. CKB successfully completed the integration of Podgoricka Banka in December 2020.
