December 28 (SeeNews) - The credit portfolio of Montenegro's commercial banks rose to 1.948 billion euro ($2.865 billion) at the end of October, up by 183.2% from a year earlier, the country's central bank, CBCG, said on Fridayy.
Deposits with Montenegrin banks totalled 1.917 billion euro at the end of October, up 124.3% from a year earlier, the CBCG said in a monthly bulletin.
Montenegrin banks' loan portfolio totalled 1.810 billion euro at the end of September, while deposits amounted to 1.822 billion euro.

Montenegro's largest bank by assets is Crnogorska Komercijalna Banka (CKB), owned by Hungary's OTP Bank. Its assets stood at 933.6 million euro at the end of September.
