June 15 (SeeNews) - The ratio of non-performing loans (NPLs) to total loans in Montenegro's banking system was 6.5% at the end of March, the central bank said.
The total value of non-performing loans in Montenegro's banking system amounted to 223.7 million euro ($232.8 million) at the end of March, up 25.8% on the year and fell 1.9% on the month, the central bank said in a monthly activity report.
In March, past-due loans amounted to 200.7 million euro, up 25.5% on the year, the central bank said.
At end-March 2022, total loans amounted to 3.439 billion euro, up 5.4% year-on-year, while deposits grew 23.8% to 4.281 billion euro.
Montenegro's NPL ratio stood at 6.2% at the end of 2021.
