August 9 (SeeNews) - The ratio of non-performing loans (NPLs) to total loans in Montenegro's banking system was 6.2% at the end of May, the central bank said.
The total value of non-performing loans in Montenegro's banking system amounted to 220.5 million euro ($225.1 million) at the end of May, up 19.9% on the year and 0.1% on the month, the central bank said in a monthly activity report.
In May, past-due loans amounted to 213.5 million euro, up 19.3% on the year, the central bank said.
At end-May 2022, total loans amounted to 3.561 billion euro, up 7.2% year-on-year, while deposits grew 22.2% to 4.392 billion euro.
Montenegro's NPL ratio stood at 6.2% at the end of 2021.
