September 16 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange's blue-chip SOFIX index ended Wednesday's trading session 0.20% lower at 429.81 points, affected by a drop in the share prices of car battery maker Monbat [BUL:5MB] and financial leasing company Elana Agrocredit [BUL:0EA].
Monbat led the decliners among the members of the blue-chip index with a 2.41% fall in its share price, to 3.24 levs, followed by Elana Agrocredit with a 2.00% drop to 0.98 levs, bourse data showed.

Monbat gained most among the blue-chip companies during the previous trading session - by 3.75%.
Central Cooperative Bank (CCB) [BUL:4CF] led Wednesday's gainers as its shares added 4.19% to 0.99 levs, rebounding from a 2.05% fall on Tuesday.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, lost 0.21% to 96.81 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free-float of at least 10% have equal weight, erased 0.23% to 480.76 points. Both indexes were dragged down by a 5.26% drop in the share price of Industrial Capital Holding [BUL:4I8].
Only the BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, closed in green territory on Wednesday. The index gained 0.58% to 134.13 points, backed by a rise in the share prices of Balkan and Sea Properties REIT [BUL:5H4] and Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:5BU] - by 2.30% and 0.59%, respectively.
Total regulated market trading turnover rose to some 371,200 levs ($224,500/189,800 euro) on Wednesday, compared with 295,300 levs on Tuesday. Drug manufacturer Sopharma [BUL:3JR] formed 64% of Wednesday's turnover, as 29,385 shares of the company changed hands.
