November 27 (SeeNews) - The average gross salary in Moldova grew by a real 3.4% on the year to 5,809.1 lei ($334/282 euro) in the third quarter of 2017, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
In nominal terms, the average gross wage increased 11.1% year-on-year in the third quarter, the National Bureau of Statistics, BNS, said in a statement.
BNS provided no monthly comparison figures.
The average gross salary in the public sector was 4,990.7 lei in the third quarter, up 10.4% on the year in nominal terms.
In the private sector, the gross wage was 6,132.2 lei during July-September, up by a nominal 11% year-on-year.

In 2016, the average monthly gross salary in Moldova grew by a real 3.7%, reaching 5,084 lei.
