July 3 (SeeNews) - Moldova's current account deficit widened by 41.5% to $112.77 million (99 million euro) in the first quarter of 2017, the country's central bank, BNM, said on Monday.
The change came as a result of higher deficits in goods and services, as imports grew by 21.7% and exports increased by 3.2 % on the year in the first quarter, BNM said in a statement citing provisional data.
Moldova's current account deficit decreased by 33% to $276.5 million in 2016.
