CHISINAU (Moldova), April 27 (SeeNews) – Moldova’s agricultural output rose by 1% on the year in the first quarter of 2018, mainly due to a rise in the livestock sector, the country's statistical office, BNS, said on Tuesday.
"The growth of global agricultural production was determined by the increase of livestock production - with 1,0%, with a 99% share of total agricultural production," BNS said in a press release.

During the January-March period of 2018 households of all categories registered a drop in egg production by 0.5%, while the production of cattle and poultry rose by 2%.
Milk production in households of all categories rose by 0.7%.
Moldova’s agricultural output increased by 8.6% last year, mainly due to a rise in the plant production sector.
