August 9 (SeeNews) - Moldova’s producer prices in agriculture decreased by an annual 10.1% in the first six months of 2023, driven by a fall in plant products, the country's statistical office said.
Producer prices for plant products dropped by 13.8% on the year in the first half of 2023, mostly driven by a decline in key crops, the National Bureau of Statistics, BNS, said in a press release last week.

Producer prices for animal products saw a 6.7% annual increase in January-June.
In the second quarter alone, producer prices in agriculture fell by 18.2% on the year, compared to a 3.7% annual drop in the first quarter of 2023.
In 2022, Moldova recorded a 13.6% increase in agricultural producer prices.
