December 7 (SeeNews) - Moldova's trade deficit increased by 20.9% year-on-year to $1.98 billion (1.67 billion euro) in the first ten months of 2017, the country's statistical bureau, BNS, said on Thursday.
Moldova's exports rose 17.5% on the year to $1.92 billion in the January-October period, while imports totalled $3.9 billion, up 19.2%.
In October alone, Moldova's exports rose 33.6% on the year to $268.2 million, whereas imports increased 22.5% to $465.9 million.
Moldova's trade deficit decreased 2.2% to $1.97 billion last year.
