November 24 (SeeNews) - The aggregate volume of Moldova's railway, road, river, and air freight traffic grew by 23% year-on-year, reaching some 14 million tonnes in the ten months through October, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
Calculated in freight tonne-kilometres (FTK), traffic increased 14% on the year to some 3.71 million FTK during the January-October period, the National Bureau of Statistics (BNS) said in a monthly transport sector report.
In October alone, the volume of Moldova's freight traffic decreased by 0.9% on the month, but jumped by 33.5% on the year, to 2.1 million tonnes.
