November 23 (SeeNews) - The volume of Moldova's combined railway, road, river and air freight traffic rose 9.9% to some 15.7 million tonnes in the first ten months of the year, the country's statistical office BNS said on Friday.
Calculated in freight tonne-kilometres (FTK), traffic increased 34.4% to some 3.93 million FTK in the January-October period, the National Bureau of Statistics (BNS) said in a monthly report.
In October alone, the volume of Moldova's freight rose by 14.5% on the month and was 7.5% higher on the year, at 15.8 million tonnes.

The total volume of Moldova's railway, road, river, and air freight traffic grew by 23.8% year-on-year in 2017, reaching some 17.3 million tonnes.
