December 27 (SeeNews) - The aggregate volume of Moldova's railway, road, river, and air freight traffic grew by 24.6% year-on-year, reaching some 16 million tonnes in the first 11 months of 2017, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
Calculated in freight tonne-kilometres (FTK), traffic increased 14.2% on the year to some 4.167 million FTK during the January-November period, the National Bureau of Statistics (BNS) said in a monthly transport sector report.
In November alone, the volume of Moldova's freight traffic decreased by 15.5% on the month, but jumped by 35% on the year, to 1.8 million tonnes.
