July 15 (SeeNews) - Moldova's trade deficit widened by 2.3% on the year to $1.202 billion (1.07 billion euro) in the first five months of the year, the country's statistics bureau said on Monday.
Moldova's exports rose 5.3%, while imports increased by 3.8% through May, the statistics office said in a statement.
In May, exports fell by 5.6% on the year to 210.6 million euro, while imports fell by an annual 4.8% to 481.5 million euro.
Moldova's trade deficit widened by 27.1% on the year to $3.057 billion in 2018.
