September 16 (SeeNews) - Moldova's trade deficit widened by 2.1% on the year to $1.581 billion (1.749 billion euro) in the first seven months of the year, the country's statistics bureau said on Monday.
Moldova's exports rose 3.1%, while imports increased by 2.6% through July, the statistics office said in a statement.
In July, exports edged up by 0.6% on the year to 220.2 million euro, while imports rose by an annual 2.2% to 498.9 million euro.
Moldova's trade deficit widened by 27.1% on the year to $3.057 billion in 2018.
