CHISINAU (Moldova), June 20 (SeeNews) - Moldova's retail sales rose by an annual 1.8% in the first four months of 2022, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
Services sales surged 20.8% on the year in January-April, the national office of statistics said in a statement.
In April alone, retail sales fell by 5.7% on the year and were 2.5% lower month-on-month.
Service sales in April were up 6% higher on the year and 0.9% lower on the month.
Retail sales figures do not include trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles.
Moldova's retail sales rose by an annual 12% in 2021.
