September 13 (SeeNews) - Moldovan airline HiSky will launch frlights from the Henri Coanda International Airport in Bucharest to Bordeaux’s Mérignac Airport on December 21, it said on Wednesday.
HiSky will operate the service two times per week - on Mondays and Thursdays, it said in a press release.
The new route will be the seventh international destination that HiSky operates from its base in Bucharest.
"We have already been operating flights to Paris from Baia Mare and Chisinau for over 2 years, but when it comes to Bucharest we wanted to create a connection with another area of France, less explored by other companies," said Iulian Scorpan, CEO of HiSky.
The airline also said that it will soon reach the 2 million-passenger mark.
HiSky currently operates a fleet of eight Airbus A320 aircraft with an average age of seven years. The airline runs regular service from Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Baia Mare, Iasi and Chisinau to domestic and international destinations.
