August 7 (SeeNews) - Moldova's trade deficit widened by 23.1% on the year to $1.42 billion (1.64 billion euro) in the first six months of the year, the country's statistics bureau said on Tuesday.
Moldova's exports rose 27.9%, while imports increased by 25.4% through June, the statistics office said in a statement.
In June alone, exports rose by 25.2% on the year to $214.1 million, while imports were up by 18% to $458.9 million.
Moldova's trade deficit widened by 22% on the year to $2.4 billion in 2017.
