August 16 (SeeNews) - Moldova's trade deficit widened by 1.8% on the year to $1.446 billion (1.293 billion euro) in the first six months of the year, the country's statistics bureau said on Friday.
Moldova's exports rose 3.5%, while imports increased by 2.6% through June, the statistics office said in a statement.
In June, exports fell by 5.5% on the year to 202.3 million euro, while imports fell by an annual 2.9% to 445.5 million euro.
Moldova's trade deficit widened by 27.1% on the year to $3.057 billion in 2018.
