CHISINAU (Moldova), July 30 (SeeNews) – Moldova’s agricultural output rose by 7.2% on the year in the first half of 2018, mainly due to a rise in the plant production sector, the country's statistical office, BNS, said on Monday.
The growth of overall agricultural output was determined by the increase of plant production, by 54.6%, BNS said in a press release.

Livestock production rose by 0.7% on the year during January-June.
During the January-June period of 2018 households of all categories registered a drop in egg production by 3.7%, while the production of cattle and poultry rose by 5.9%.
Milk production in households of all categories dropped by 9.2%.
Moldova’s agricultural output increased by 8.6% last year, mainly due to a rise in the plant production sector.
