April 28 (SeeNews) - Moldova issued 778 building permits in the January-March period, up 8.7% year-on-year, the national statistics office said on Friday.
The number of building permits issued for residential buildings increased in the capital Chisinau and in the northern, central and Gagauzia regions, the office said in a statement.
About 46.1% of the total number of permits issued for buildings during January-March are for rural areas.

The statistics office provided no figures for the value of the projects for which were granted permits.
Moldova issued 3,947 building permits in 2016, down 8.5% from a year earlier.
