March 21 (SeeNews) - The value of deposits with Moldovan banks rose 10.8% on the year in March, reaching 53.8 billion lei ($2.8 billion/2.6 billion euro), the central bank, BNM, said on Friday.
In February deposits recorded a 12% annual gain in value.
Leu deposits rose by 25% year-on-year to 29.98 billion lei in March, slowing down from 25.4% growth in February, BNM said.
Foreign currency deposits dropped 3.1% to 23.82 billion lei in March, following a 1.1% decline in February.
