July 20 (SeeNews) - The value of deposits with Moldovan banks rose by 7.4% on the year in June, reaching 54.45 billion lei ($3 billion/2.6 billion euro), the central bank, BNM, said on Thursday.
In May, deposits increased by 6.6% year-on-year.
Leu deposits rose by 16.4% year-on-year to 30.94 billion lei in June, slowing down from 16.7% growth in May, BNM said.
Foreign currency deposits dropped by 4.1% to 23.5 billion lei in June, following a 4.1% decline in May.
