May 22 (SeeNews) - The value of deposits with Moldovan banks rose 9.9% on the year in April, reaching 54.22 billion lei ($2.9 billion/2.6 billion euro), the central bank, BNM, said on Monday.
In March, deposits increased by 10.8% year-on-year.
Leu deposits rose by 19.5% year-on-year to 30.13 billion lei in April, slowing down from 25% growth in March, BNM said.
Foreign currency deposits dropped by 0.2% to 24.09 billion lei in April, following a 3.1% decline in March.
