February 16 (SeeNews) - Moldova's trade deficit widened by 22% on the year to $2.4 billion (1.92 billion euro) in 2017, figures from the statistics office showed on Friday.
Moldova's exports rose 19%, while imports grew 20% in 2017, the statistics office, BNS, said in a statement.
In December alone, exports rose 21% on the year to $233.2 million, while imports were up 20.5% to $471.5 million.
