February 13 (SeeNews) - Miodrag Kostic, head of Serbia's MK Group, has said the vertically integrated conglomerate is interested in the acquisition of some assets of Croatia's ailing concern Agrokor.
Agrokor is a company with a large number of assets and some of them will be sold for sure, Kostic said in a video file posted on the website of Croatian private broadcaster RTL Hrvatska on Monday.

"We will be certainly interested in the part related to agriculture and processing of agricultural products, as a major investor in this sector," Kostic said.
Kostic said MK Group is following the developments around Agrokor and expressed hopes that the settlement plan proposed by the extraordinary management of the food-to-retail concern will be adopted in the coming months.
In December, Agrokor's extraordinary management unveiled a debt settlement plan under which the creditors and suppliers of the troubled concern will take full control of a new holding company and its units, to which the assets of the sound segments of the Agrokor group will be transferred.
Agrokor's units in Serbia include ice cream maker Frikom, edible oils producer Dijamant and retailer Mercator-S.
