May 13 (SeeNews) - The consortium selling a 53% stake in Slovenian retailer Mercator [LJE:MELR] has received binding bids from private equity fund Mid Europa Partners and Croatian privately-held concern Agrokor, Slovenian state-run news agency STA reported on Monday, quoting unofficial sources.
The bidding deadline expires on Wednesday, STA said.

On Sunday, Zagreb-based Poslovni Dnevnik reported that Agrokor's bid for Mercator is priced at 115 euro ($150.4) per share.
In March, Poslovni reported that Agrokor and equity funds CVC Capital, Bain Capital and Mid Europa had all started due diligence at Mercator.
Mercator was trading down 5.67% at 104 euro by 1353 CET on the Ljubljana bourse on Monday.
