December 10 (SeeNews) - Mexican companies have expressed interest in investing in Serbia's mining, healthcare, energy and defence industries, labour minister Zoran Djordjevic said.
"There is a great potential for strengthening business links in different sectors, but it is necessary to inform business communities in both countries," Djordjevic said in a press release on Sunday.
The cooperation between the two governments may open opportunities for Mexican investments in Serbia, the ambassador of Mexico to Serbia, Marco Antonio Garcia Blanco, said during a meeting with Djordjevic in Belgrade.
Djordjevic was on an official visit to Mexico for the inauguration of president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on December 1, where he held a meeting with local entrepreneurs.
