November 24 (SeeNews) - Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as share indices increased, bourse data showed.
A total of 5,007 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 10.5 million dinars. Metalac won 0.05% and closed at 2,102 dinars.
Soybean processing company Sojaprotein [BEL:SJPT] led the blue-chip gainers' list on Friday, after winning 7.69% and closing at 434 dinars. A total of 1,830 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 790,584 dinars.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, rose 0.44% to 739.41 points on Friday. On Thursday, the index increased 0.60%.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, went up 0.53% on Friday and closed at 1,633.49 points, after growing 0.83% on Thursday.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] paced the blue-chip decliners on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as its share price fell 0.57% to 701 dinars. A total of 1,046 shares in the company changed hands, generating a turnover of 732,924 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse increased to 54.2 million dinars ($540,579/453,899 euro) on Friday from 10.5 million dinars on Thursday, as 272 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 1.9 million dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 107.4 million dinars to the session's total trading turnover of 161.6 million dinars on the bourse. A total of 10,000 bonds of the dinar-denominated RSO16134 issue changed hands in a single deal. The bonds bear a coupon of 10% and mature on February 22, 2019.
In the period between November 20 and 24, BELEX15 grew 0.50%, while BELEXline rose 1.31%.
Sojaprotein led the blue-chip gainers' list this week, as it won 44.67% in the period. A total of 12,504 shares in the company changed hands, generating a turnover of 4.5 million dinars.
The total value of trading in shares on the Belgrade stock market in the period between November 20 and 24 was 280.5 million dinars, versus 196.9 million dinars in the previous week.
The total value of the trade in Treasury bonds came in at 3.26 billion dinars, versus 1.8 billion dinars last week.
