October 17 (SeeNews) - Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange and led the blue-chip gainers' list on Wednesday, as share indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 16,550 of Metalac's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 33.6 million dinars. The company closed up 3.57% at 2,030 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, went up 0.57% to 735.33 points on Wednesday. The index fell 0.99% on Tuesday.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, grew 0.50% to 1,542.29 points on Wednesday, after decreasing 0.26% on Tuesday.
Construction company Jedinstvo [BEL:JESV] paced the blue-chip decliners, as its share price fell 0.04% to 5,148 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse increased to 37.4 million dinars ($364,431/315,971 euro) on Wednesday from 4.6 million dinars on Tuesday, as 206 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 325,030 dinars.
