January 13 (SeeNews) - Cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] generated the highest turnover and led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Monday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 5,979 Metalac shares changed hands in turnover of 12.3 million dinars. Metalac closed up 2.70% at 2,054 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.34% at 802.68 points.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.60% at 1,726.15.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 451.6 million dinars ($4.3 million/3.8 million euro) on Monday, up from 72.7 million dinars on Friday, as 97 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 876,604 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 433.1 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Monday.
